PGDBA at IIM Calcutta, 1st semester at ISI Calcutta. ------------------------------------- We reached ISI campus on 19th July. We were given accommodation at 4th and 5th floor of CD Deshmukh Bhavan. It was a twin sharing accommodation. Every room was well furnished and spacious with attached bathrooms. Round the clock Wifi and  Lift facility were available for us. Mess facility was arranged at Rani bhavan which was 3-4 minutes walk from our hostel. Our first semester classes started on 20th July 2015.Our class schedule was not very hectic. We had two 2-hours classes per day. But as time passed we started having extra classes in the evening and it started getting hectic. Initially our classes started at NAB-1 at ground floor of AN Kolmogorov bhavan. Buildings at ISI are named after personalities. Size of batches are very small at ISI, Normally they have close to 20 students in a batch(It shows hot competitive it is to get into ISI :-)). So classes are of small size. Ours was large

PGDBA at IIM Calcutta: Pre Semester. ----------------------------------- After a week of orientation sessions, our classes started for pre-semester from 29th June 2015. It was a 3 weeks crasher on basic management subjects. We got the new books and PGDBA bags :-). We had 4 papers in pre semester, Marketing management, Financial management, organizational behavior and Contemporary Business Analytics. Many students wonder, what is the major difference between a normal local college and IIM/IITs, that is ; kind of teachers you get. Profs at IIM calcutta are gods of their subjects. And when you see their credentials and achievements, you feel proud and amazed. When you read Wikipedia pages on your professors, it automatically generates respect. We were lucky to have very senior profs for 3 of our courses in pre-sem. OB was taught by Dr Leena chatterji and Dr Rajeev kumar, Financial management was taught by Dr Ashok Banerjee, CBA was taught by Dr Indranil bose( our course coordinator)

PGDBA at IIM Calcutta. Start of Journey. ---------------------- I was working in Johannesburg as a system integration specialist at Multichoice johannesburg for last 3.4 years as a contract engineer. My employer was Altech Multimedia, South africa. On 28th of  May 2015, i got the admission offer from IIM calcutta, for PGDBA. I always had lot of craze to study in top colleges of India and this chance looked so promising. I mean where else you can have experience of 3 colleges which  are pioneers of different education verticals in India.
